During our telephone conversation, you asked that'I clarify what your options are in order to comply with the Everett Municipal Code. I have contacted both the Building Depart- ment and the Animal Control Office and your options are: l. Remove the kennels in the rear yard and relocate the cervals and panthers indoors. Your indoor facility is subject to the requirements set forth in the Animal Control Ordinance and must comply with these regulations. I have enclosed a copy of these regula- tions and highlighted the areas of greatest concern. ,�„� 2. Submit a set of plans and obtain a building permit to 0 , completely enclose the outdoor kennels. This application would be reviewed by the Planninq staff in order to ensure that all requirments for parking, landscaping, lot coverage !� and other applicable standar3s are met before the building � � permit can be issued. The housing, storage and display of your merchandise is al- lowed inside the premises as you have operated in the past. We ask that you respond to this letter to advise us of your decision by no later than February 23, 1990. There is con- cern about the safety of the animals (especially in the freezing weather) and the public, as long as the kennels re- main outside.
