The curbing installed has been ordered removed <br />and replaced with type "C" by the City Engineering Department resulting in <br />the Contractor incurring an unnecessary item of cost. <br />The �urpose of the above is to emphasize that it is very important to the building <br />industry to be advised in a clear and timely manner of the details of proper com- <br />pliance with applicable codes and ordinances as interpreted by the personnel <br />involved in enforcing such regularions. <br />My personal interpretation of the phrase "in a clear and timely manner" is that the <br />construction documents which are issued to the contractor with the building permit <br />and which are required by the issuiny body to remain at the cons!r�.-tion site until <br />the "Certificate of Occupancy" for the project is issued should carry notations as <br />to proper compliance with all of the regulations of all of the City departments <br />involved. <br />Very truly yours, <br />BRYANT, BUTTERFIELD & FRETS - ARCHITECTS - A.I.A. <br />�. � <br />John C.
