The final
logs represent our interpretations of the field logs and the
results of the laboratory examination and test of field samples.
'Fhe etratification lines on the logs represent the approxi.:nate
boundary betaeen soil types. In actuality, the transition may be
gradual.
Representative eoil samples were placed in closed containers
and returned to our laboratory for further exami[iation and test-
ing. Visual classifications were supplemented by index tests such
as aieve analyses on representative samples. Moisture determina-
tions were performed on all disturbed samples. Results of mois-
ture det•erminations, together with classifications. are ahown on
the test pit logs included in this report. The results of three
sieve analyses are illuetrated on Plate 9, Grain Sie Analyses.
LIMI7i\TIONS
Our recortmendations and conclusions are based on the site
materials observed, selective la3c.iratory testing and engineeriny
analyses.
