The results of hand borings performed in this
added area disclosed no change in soil profiles that vrould indicate any
problems.
The backlioe excavated as deep as was practically feasible considering the
dense nature of tlie material. Representative samples were obtained from
the t•ialls of tlie pit and classified by tfie enineerin9 geologist in tfe
field. The containerized samples •ere then returned to the central lab-
oratory for furttier evaluation. It sliould be noted tliat all location
measurements and elevation of test borings are only approximate. Loca-
tion measurements uere made using a 1G5 foot fiberglass tape from the
nortln•iest lot corner, a surveyed corner pin. Elevations mere taken using
a hand level from a railroad spil;e driven into the pov+er pole on site.
This spike has an elevation of 645.93 feet. The elevations are intended
for.use in the comparison of test horing data.
[PICOUtT[RED STP.ATIGRAf IY
The attaciied test pi t 1 oys sfioi tlie actual suhsurfar.e condi t ions encount-
ered at the proposed building site.
