Those items not addressed below have been satisfied. The numbering is per the original comment letter. Any new issues are stated in capital letters at the beginning of each section. All references refer to the 1997 Uniform 13014ing code, as amended by the State of Washington and/or the Washington State znergy Code, 1997.edition, unless noted otherwise. In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to provide the Building Division with two complete new sets of drawings reflecting the corrections requested. A. New Comment: During recheck, it was noticed that the existing building is of Type III-N construction. The proposed addition is V-N construction. The only method to join two different types of construction in the same building is by the use of an area separation wall per Section 504.6.1. Based on that requirement, the following options apply: A four-hour area separation should be constructed between the new and existing construction per Section 504.6.2, or The new building should comply as Type III-N construction, or The existing building should be reclassified as Type V-N construction.
