The <br />resilient charnels are attached with 1-5/8 inch 141.3 <br />mm) long Type S screws at each TJI joist. Two <br />resilient charnels are provided at each gypsum board <br />butt joint, and extend to the next joist beyond the <br />longitudinal joints. The gypsum board shall be <br />fastened to the resilient channels with 1 inch (25.4 <br />mm) long Type S screws spaced at 12 inches (305 <br />mm) on center in the field and 8 inches 1203 mm) on <br />center at the butt joints. <br />In roof -ceiling assemblies in which TJI joists are <br />spaced more than 24 inches 1610 mm) on center, the <br />ceiling, including the resilient channels, shall be <br />attached to stripping spaced 24 inches (610 mm) on <br />center.
