31. The Police Department has, the following security recommendations: <br />a. Lighting of the parking lot should be a minimum of 1-2 foot <br />candles. <br />b. During the final stages of construction, please contact Dick <br />Thornberry, Crime Prevention Officer at 259-0416 for further <br />security recommendations. <br />c. A monitored fire and intrusion alarm system zoned for each <br />entity should be provided. To provide protection in case of <br />armed robbery, include remote panic buttons and/or foot trip <br />if using customer counter. <br />d. If offices will be handling cash, an actual money safe should <br />be installed (for next day receipts only). Seismic detectors <br />and passive infrared alarm sensors should also be installed in <br />the room. <br />e. The perimeter doors should be solid core or metal with double <br />cylinder dead -bolts installed. If doors open to the outside <br />or hinges are exposed, pin hinges should be provided. <br />f. If store front glass doors are part of the project, they <br />should have locking case bolts top and bottom. The door <br />WF should have a maximum security deadbolt with 1-3/4" throw and <br />3/4" laminated steel. <br />g. Metal security bay doors can be secured with 3/8" case- <br />hardened steel hasps or chain and padlocks with 1/2" case- <br />hardened steel shackles. <br />: rk% 'V " <br />h. The more office windows that are visible to the parking area, <br />the safer the area is from assaults and thefts. <br />i. If utilizing fencing, it should be a 6' chain link. Separate <br />fencing should be provided for material storage areas, and <br />perimeter alarm sensors should be provided in the storage <br />area. <br />32. The ASnohomish County PUD currently has sufficient capacity to <br />serve the proposed development. For information about the <br />electrical service requirements for this project, please call <br />Kurt Martin of the District's Customer Engineering office, <br />Everett at Q58=8291. <br />33. GTE Northwest Incorporated has facilities near this location. <br />However, early notification of final approval will expedite GTE's <br />ability to coordinate and place new plants within the <br />development.
