The following report summarizes our field observations and presents our conclusions and recommendations. We understand that the p[oject will consist of a Grease Monkey building and two (2) other buildings. We understand that the Grease N•onkey building will be single story with a basement with a � slab on grade floor. A site plan by Robert L. Stasny A.I.A. Architect dated July 19, 1988 was provided to us. No buildinq plans were available at this time. SCOPE The scope of our study was to, observe the on-site soils in all three (3) building areas and to present recommendations reqardinq soil bearing value, lateral forces, drainage, slabs on grade and grading for the Grease Monkey building. Our field work consisted of a visual site reconaissance and the excavation oE four (4) backhoe test pits. The test pit locations were determined by our engineering geologist and were referenced to the oroposed building sites shown on the site plan. Test pits were located by pacing from identified landmacks. The test pit locations may be seen on the site nlan in Aopendix A.
