Access - The Uniform Fire Code requires that all new structures shall provide Fire Depaztrnent <br /> access roads to witkrin 150 feet of all portions of the ground floor. Fire Department access <br /> roads (Fire Lanes) shall provide a minimum of 20 feet m width of unobstructed, all-season <br /> driving surface with a minunum clear height of 13'6". Fire Lanes will be posted and <br /> maintained as required by the Fire Department. <br /> 'I�roamunds Requ_ired - Roads with a length of 301-500 feet must be 28-32 feet wide; <br /> 80'diameter cul-de-sac, 120' Hammerhead or Y and 80' Tee is required. <br /> 2, Prem��e Identification- Premises shall be clearly identified by the conect address at the street <br /> entry. Buildings shall be clearly identified so as to be visible and legible from the access road. <br /> Individual apartments and suites, where applicable, shall be clearly and legibly identified from <br /> the access road. <br /> 3. A fire hydrant is required within 200 driving feet, but not closer than 50 feet, of every <br /> stcucture. Location of the hydrant(s) shall be approved by the Fire Marshal. <br /> 4. PREMLSE IDENTIFICATION AND ALL REQUIRED FIItE DEPAR'I'MENT ACCESS <br /> ROADS AND FIItE HYDRANTS SHALL BE IN SERVICE PRIOR TO <br /> CONII�iENCEMENT OF CONSTRUCTION. <br /> 5. Portable Fire Pmtection- A portable fire extinguisher with a minimum U.L. rating of <br /> 2-A:10-B:C shall be pmvided within 75 feet of travel on all floors of each building during <br /> consttuction and prior to occupancy. <br /> 6.
