Access - The Uniform Fire Code requires that all new structures shall provide Fire Depaztrnent access roads to witkrin 150 feet of all portions of the ground floor. Fire Department access roads (Fire Lanes) shall provide a minimum of 20 feet m width of unobstructed, all-season driving surface with a minunum clear height of 13'6". Fire Lanes will be posted and maintained as required by the Fire Department. 'I�roamunds Requ_ired - Roads with a length of 301-500 feet must be 28-32 feet wide; 80'diameter cul-de-sac, 120' Hammerhead or Y and 80' Tee is required. 2, Prem��e Identification- Premises shall be clearly identified by the conect address at the street entry. Buildings shall be clearly identified so as to be visible and legible from the access road. Individual apartments and suites, where applicable, shall be clearly and legibly identified from the access road. 3. A fire hydrant is required within 200 driving feet, but not closer than 50 feet, of every stcucture. Location of the hydrant(s) shall be approved by the Fire Marshal. 4. PREMLSE IDENTIFICATION AND ALL REQUIRED FIItE DEPAR'I'MENT ACCESS ROADS AND FIItE HYDRANTS SHALL BE IN SERVICE PRIOR TO CONII�iENCEMENT OF CONSTRUCTION. 5. Portable Fire Pmtection- A portable fire extinguisher with a minimum U.L. rating of 2-A:10-B:C shall be pmvided within 75 feet of travel on all floors of each building during consttuction and prior to occupancy. 6. Trash Collection- Dumpsters over 1.5 cubic yazds capacity shall be located a minunum of 5 feet from the building [UFC 1103.2.2, 1994 Edition].
