Portable Fire Protection -A portable fire extinguisher�uith a minimum U.L. rating of 2- <br /> A:10-B:C shatl be provided within 75 feet of travel on all floors of each building during <br /> construction and prior to occupancy. <br /> 27. When access to or within a structure or an area is unduly d'rfficuft because of secured <br /> openings or where immediate access is necessary for life saving or fire-fighting <br /> purposes, the Fire Department may recommend or requiro a key box to be installed in <br /> an accessible locat�on. A rapid entry system may also be desirable in order to avoid <br /> unnecessary damage while making entry to any buiid(ng during an emergency situation. , <br /> 28. Access -The Uniform Fire Code requires that all new strudures shall provide Fire <br /> Department access roads to within 150 feet of all portions of the ground floor. Fire <br /> Department access roads (Fire Lanes) shall provide a minimum of 20 feet in width of <br /> unobstructed, ali-season driving su�face with a minimum clear height of 13'6". Fire <br /> Lanes will be posted and maintained as required by the Fire Department. <br /> 29. The premises must be clea�ly identified by address at the street entry. Each building <br /> must be clearly identified so as to be visible and legible from the access road. Trash Collection: Dumpsters over 1.5 cubic yards capacity shall be located a minimum <br /> of 5 feet from the building [UFC 1103.2.2, 1994 Edition]. <br /> 31. The City of Everett prohibits outdoor buming. Therefore, ou4door buming for the <br /> purpose of disposing of construction debris or rubbish will not be permitted. <br /> 32. Premise identification and all required fire hydrants and access roads must be in service <br /> prior to commencement of construction. <br /> 33. The Washington State Clean Air Ad requires the use of all known, available, and <br /> reasonable means of controiling air pollution, including dust. Dust generated during <br /> construction activities can be controlied by wetting those dust sources such as areas of <br /> exposed soils, washing truck wheels before they leave the aite, and ins:alling and <br /> maintaining gravel construction entrances. ConshucHon vehide track-out is also a <br /> major dust source. Any evidence of treck-out can trigger violations and fines from the <br /> Department of Ecology or the Puget Sound Air Pollution Controi Agency. <br /> 34.
