;7 n n TN n 7;7 S <br />1. The Incidence File is a computerized listing of all reports <br />made by police after initial investigation of an incident <br />CO which they were dispatched. It, therefore, provides a <br />more reliable indication of crime incidence than the com- <br />vucerized "Police Run" file which logs police dispatches <br />based on preliminary information on the incidents. <br />2. Criminal Homicide, Rape, Robbery, Aggravated Assault, Resi- <br />dence Burglary, Nan -Residence Burglary, Larceny and Vehicle <br />Theft. <br />3. Rape, Indecent Exposure, Obscene Conduct, Child Molestation <br />Adult Mol estacion and Commercial Sex. <br />4. Since population estimates were not available for each year <br />of the survey, the 1980 Census figures were used because they <br />were the result of an actual enumeration and, falling at the <br />mid -point of the survey, they would tend to balance out popu- <br />lation trends during the five year time span. <br />S. Sex-related crimes are not isolated and compiled on a routine <br />basis for the IPD District as a whole.
