The total cost of the project is <br />$25,000 with a 12.5% match by the City of $3,125, plus $390 for administrative fees. The Fire Department <br />has already exceeded the match requirement by paying $12,000 (reimbursable through grant) for the initial <br />contract with the University of Washington in 2003 to begin the Draft Hazard Mitigation Plan. <br />The award funds from this contract will be used to enter into a second agreement with the University of <br />Washington to finalize the Hazard Mitigation Plan for the City of Everett. <br />RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br />Authorize the Mayor to sign the agreement between the City of Everett, the WA State Military Department <br />and FEMA to receive funding from the Hazard Mitigation Planning Grant. <br />
