In contrast, the difference for women (vs. men) is quite significant. <br />"o Respondents who expressed the opinion that the City should not regulate adult <br />businesses tend to be younger (76.5% under 45) men (64.7%) who rent (58.8%). <br />More important, perhaps, these respondents tend to live relatively far away from adult <br />businesses (76.5% at least three blocks away) and to Iive in 'households with no <br />children (70.617o). Several of these respondents volunteered that they were <br />"libertarians." Of course, many of the respondents who initially told us that they <br />opposed any regulation later expressed the opinion that adult buisnesses should not <br />be allowed to locate near residential neighborhoods. <br />EVER00391 <br />
