Junk vehicles are already treated as a public nuisance by the city code. This <br />ordinance establishes a definition of inoperable vehicles and that inoperable vehicles, having become a <br />public nuisance, shall be also be treated as a nuisance and removed from private property. In addition, this <br />ordinance also repeals language involving repeat offenders and monetary penalties that is covered in Everett <br />Municipal Code 1.20. <br />RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Adopt an Ordinance relating to Junk and <br />Inoperable Motor Vehicle Abatement, Amending Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, and 10 of Ordinance No. 2338-98 (EMC <br />Sections 8.22.010, 8.22.020, 8.22.030, 8.22.040, and 8.22.100) and Repealing Sections 6 and 7 of Ordinance <br />No. 2338-98 (EMC Sections 8.22.060 and 8.22.070) <br />�5 <br />
