A portable fire extinguisher with a minimum iJL rating of 2-A:10-B:C must be provided within 75 <br />feet travel distance on all floors of each building during construction and prior to occupancy. <br />27. Fire lanes must be provided as required in Everett Municipal Code 46.44. Fire lanes must be <br />identified by red cu�bs with white stenciling stating "NO PARKING - FIRE LANE" and vertical <br />signs stating NO PARKING - FIRE LANE - TOW AWAY ZONE." Location must be approved <br />�� <br />by the Fire Mazshal. <br />28. The premises must be clearly identified by the correct address at the street entry. Each building <br />must be clearly identified so as to be visible and legible from the access road. Each suite must be <br />clearly identified so as to be visible and legible from the access road. <br />29. PREMISE IDENTIFICATION AND ALL REQUIRED FIRE DEPARTMENT ACCESS ROADS <br />AND FIRE HYDRANTS MUST BE IN SERVICE PItIOR TO CObIMENCEMENT OF <br />CONSTRUCTION OF BUII.,DINGS. <br />30. When access to or within a structure or an area is unduly difficult because of secured openings or <br />where irtunediate access is necessary for life saving or fire-fighting purposes, the Fire Department <br />may recommend or require a key box to be installed in an accessible location. The City of Everett prohibits outdoor burning. Therefore, outdoor burning for the purpose of <br />3isposing of construction debris or rubbish will not be pemritted. <br />32. Fire safety practices during construction must be in compliance with the Uniform Fire Code, 1985 <br />Edition, Article 87, "Fire Safety During Construction." <br />33. Any security fence erected uound the construction site must be located so 3s to not obstruct any <br />ex►stmg hydrant, fire protection equipment, or Fire Department access. If Fire Department access <br />is obst�ucted, gates or other opemngs must be provided for access. <br />34. Permits ue required from the Everett Fire Department to remove underground storage tanks. <br />35. Dumpsters over I.5 cubic yazds capacity must be located a minimum of five (5) feet from the <br />building [[JFC 1103.2.2, 1994 EditionJ. <br />36. A specially designated area will be required for washing of cars or fleet vehicles. The area must be <br />hydrologically isolated from the rest of the site, be covered, and wash water from the azea must <br />dra�n to the sazutary sewer after being routed through a bafile-type oiUwater separator designed to <br />city standazds. Signs must be posted on the site licn�ring car and fleet vehicle washing to the <br />designated area only. A note stating that car and fleet washing is only permissible in the designated <br />area must be included on the storm drainage plans. <br />37. The Washington State Clean Air Act requires the use of all known, available, and reasonable means <br />of controlling air pollutioq including dust. Dust generated during construction activities can be <br />controlled by wetting those dust sources such as areas of exposed soils, washing truck wheels <br />before they leave the s�te, and installing and maintaining gravel construction entrances. <br />Construction vehicle track-out is also a major dust source. Any evidence of track-out can trigger <br />violations and fines from the Department of Ecology or the Puget Sound Air Pollution Control <br />Agency. <br />
