GENERAL INFORMATION <br />l. The Police Department has the following security recommendations: <br />a. Lighting of the pazking lot should be a minimum of 3-4 foot candles. <br />b. A monitored fire and intrusion alartn system zoned for each entity should be provided. To <br />provide protection in case of armed robbery, include remote panic buttons and/or foot trip if <br />using customer counter. <br />c. If offices will be handling cash, an actual money safe should be install�� (for next riay <br />receipts only). Seismic detectors and passive irSrared alarm sensors should also be installed <br />in the room. <br />d. The perimeter doors should bc solid core or metal with double cylinder dead-bolts installed. <br />If doors open to the outside, or hinges are exposed, pin hinges should be provided. <br />e. If store front glass doors ue part of the project, they should have locking case bolts top and <br />bottom. The door should have a maximum security dead-bolt with 1 3/4" throw and 3/4" <br />laminated steel. <br />Metal security bay �iours can be secured with 3/8" case-hardened steel hasps or chain and <br />padlocks with 1/2" case-hazdene� stee] shackles. . <br />g. The more oP6ce windows that are visible to the parking area, the safer the azea is from <br />assaults and thefts. <br />h. If utilizing fencing, it should be 6 feet chain link. <br />During the final stages of construction, please contact Dick Thomberry, Crime Prevention <br />Officer, at 259-0416 for further security recommendations. <br />2. The Snohomish County PUD currently has sufficient capacity to serve the proposed development. <br />For further information about the electiical secvice requirements for this project, please contact a <br />Customer Engineer, with the District's Everett Office at 258-8272. E:treme caution should be <br />used when working around the PUD's 6igh voltage dectrical facilities located in the <br />immediate vicinity of construction. <br />3. G"I'E has no objection to this proposal. There are existing telephone facilities in the azea.
