Type III landscaping <br />ahall consiet of: <br />1. Canopy-type deciduoue treee or apreading evergreen treea planted <br />in vells or stripe rrith a miz of living evergreen and deciduous <br />ground covers and low ahrubs. Up to one-hundred (100) percent of <br />the trees may be deciduous. Deciduous trees shall have a minimum <br />tnmk diameter of one and one-tialf (1 1/2) inches and a minimum <br />height of siz feet at the time of plantiag. Evergreea trees ahall <br />have a miaimum height of aiz feet at time of plaating. Trees <br />ahall be epaced at intervals no greater than thirty (30) feet on <br />center. <br />2. Shrubs and living grouad cover ahall be choaen and planted to <br />attaia a coverage of ninety (90) percent vithin three yeare of <br />planting. Shrube ahall be a minimum of twentq-fuur iZ4) inchea <br />high at the time of planting and ahall be planted at a density of <br />five ahrube per 100 square feet of that portion of the landscape <br />area ehich Se not planted in lawn. Irlvn maq be uaed for up to <br />seventy-five (75) of the required ground cover. <br />3. Landscaping located xithin public zightsrof-way atiall be approved <br />by the Everett Parka Department, prior to planting� as part of the <br />review of landscape plane required bq Subaection 35.100. The <br />Parks Departmmt may requlre apacific types of atreet treea for <br />planting in publlc righta-of-vay abutting the property for vhtch <br />the landscaping is required. Such etreet trees ahall be selected <br />and planted in accordance with the Parke Department requirements. <br />4. Inigation ayateme shall not be located vithin public right-of-wsy <br />unlesa approved by the Public '+iorke Departnent. <br />D. �e IV: Soil Stabiliziag Vegetation/Landacaping. 1�pe IV laadacaping <br />is intanded to provide eo31 stability, prevant erosion, and prevent <br />sedimmtation to off-aite prnpertiea and iaprovemmta. Type IV '• <br />landscaping ehall consist of lawn, other living ground cover, shrubs , <br />and treee with a root structure which atabilizns soil where necnesary <br />to prevent erosion and sedimentatlon. Tqpe IO landscaping may iaclude <br />other organic and/or inorganic aoil atabilizing materiale such as <br />rockerlea, retaiaing xalle or other rimilar elope and aoil <br />atabilization devices. <br />Ord.
