I <br />CITY OF EVERETT / <br />SUPPLEMENTAL NOTICE AND ORDER OF <br />THE CITY OF EVERETT BUILDING OFFICIAL <br />To: Mr. Dale Kathol <br />1026 Pudget Drive <br />Edmonds, WA 98020 <br />Re: 3007 Federal Avenue <br />Everett, Washington <br />Legal description of the above -described property which is situated in the <br />County of Snohomish: <br />Plat of Everett, Division H, Block 723, Lots 4 and 5 <br />I. <br />On the 18th of October, 1979, the City of Everett Building Official signed a <br />Notice of Unsafe Building which required demolition and removal of the building on the <br />above -described property. The required work was to be completed within sixty (60) <br />days from the receipt of the Notice. The Notice was received by you. You were <br />afforded an opportunity to have a hearing regarding the above -described property on <br />the 15th of January, 1980. On or about the 17th of January, 1980, you applied for a <br />demolition permit to demolish said structure. Over ten (10) months have elapsed and <br />the structure remains standing. You have failed to demolish the structure as was <br />required. <br />II. <br />In its present condition the structure on the above -described property is a hazard <br />to the safety and welfare of the general public. It is imperative that the structure be <br />demolished immediately. <br />The City of Everett Building Official has found the building which is located on <br />the above -described property to be a dangerous building. The following violations of <br />Section 302 of the 1979 Edition of the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous <br />Buildings render the building a dangerous building: <br />1. Section '102(5) - Due to the fact that the foundation, sub -flooring and roof are <br />rotted, there exists a possibility that a portion of the structure may collapse <br />thereby injuring persons and damaging property. <br />2. Section 302(8) - Due to the general dilapidation, deterioration and decay of the <br />entire structure as well as the deterioration, decay and inadequacy of its <br />foundation, the structure is likely to partially or completely collapse. <br />
