These comments address building issues <br />only, additional revisions or additions may be required by other departments <br />(such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references refer to the 1988 <br />Uniform Building Code and/or Washington State Energy Code unless stated <br />otherwise. <br />1. Provide 1-1/2"-2" diameter handrail placed 34" minimum, 38" maximum <br />above tread nosing. Return ends. Per Section 3306(j) UBC. <br />2. Indicate on plans attic access and required lighting control at attic <br />entrances. <br />3. Provide floor framing plan of second floor. (may be shown on main <br />floor plan) show size species and grade of all framing members, <br />including beams and headers. <br />4. All doors shall have a floor or landing on both sides. A door may <br />open at a landing that is not more than 7 1/2 inches lower than floor <br />level, provided the door does not swing over the landing per Section <br />3304(i) UBC. <br />5. Roof framing plan does not provide sufficient information as to how <br />roof structure is supported. All roof loads shall be supported to the <br />foundation.
