IGeologic 1„vesligation and Geotechnical Engineering Report 98-08-10
Jones Re sidem-e
I 3611 Federal Ave.
Everett. Washington
1.0 INTRODUCTION
Enclosed are the results of our limited site geologic investigation and geotechnical engineering for the
proposed Jones Residence to be located at 3611 Federal Ave. in Everett, Washington. This work has been
completed in accordance with our written proposal for Geologic and Gcotechnical Engineering Services
dated August I, 1998 and as verbally authorized by Mr. Brian 'ones, on July 29, 1998.
The purpose of this investigation was to expand upon existing geologic information in the project area and
to provide geotechnical engineering recommendations to be utilized during the design, permitting ,
development and construction stages of the project. Specific items to be addressed by this investigation
were developed based upon our review of the supplied site plans, City of Everett permitting requirements
and our understanding of this project as outlined by Mr. Brian Jones. The scope of work developed
specifically for this project included: a geologic reconnaissance of the site and surrounding area. the
excavation of test pits to identify shallow subsurface soil and ground water conditions — number and
location to be determined in the field based on observed soil condition and job requirements, the review of
geologic maps, soil maps, aerial photos and pertinent geotechnical reports in our office files, data
reduction and engineering analysis of the collected data; and the preparation of this report. During the
course of this investigation we were provided and/or reviewed the following information:
Soil Sttrvey of Snohomish Countv Area, Washington by the United States
Department of Agriculture Soil Conservation Service dated July 1983.
Geologic A,lap of the Everett 7.5 Minute Quadrangle, Snohomish Coun(v.
Washington, USGS, by J.P.
