Geolovic Investigation and Georechnical Engineering Renort
Jones Residence
3611 Federal:lve.
Everen, Washington
98-08-10
available to the project. Collected storm water will be discharged on -site per the recommendations of this
report.
3.0 DATA COMPILATION AND REVIEW
3.1 Site Description
GES, Inc. made site visits on July 29 and August 3, 1998. The geologic investigation and reconnaissance
of the site and surrounding area were completed during the second visit on August 3. 1998.
The 3600 block of Federal Ave. is a residential street. The street is wide with curb, gutter and sidewalk
along the eastern side and grassed or graveled shoulders along the western side in the vicinity of the
project site. All home have easterly views of southern Everett and the Cascade Mountains. Homes around
this site appear to be 30 to 40 years old. A Vicinity Map showing the site location relative to existing
municipal improvements is included in Appendix A of this report.
The project site is location at 3611 Federal Ave. The roughly 10,000 sq. ft. lot has an approximate 20 ft.
setback from the edge of pavement according to the supplied site plan. Most of this setback is currently flat
lawn area. It borders a steep drop along the western property line. Portions of this ) exceed 100%
slope. A thick sequence of organic matter, vegetation and dirt w4s exposed along this drop during our site
reconnaissance. It appears that neighbors have been using the site to dump yard debris and grass cuttings
on for the last several years. The majority of the lot had been cleared prior to our site visit. To allow
loading and off loading of equipment and provide access for equipment into the site, some fill had been
placed and graded into a driveway along the southern property line. A medium sized pile of clearing
debris was piled in the northeastern corner of the lot.
3 GES, Inc.
