Driscoll <br />Land Use Hearing Examiner <br />3002 Wetmore <br />City Hall <br />Everett WA 98201 <br />RE: APPLICATION OF EVF.RE'T SDA CHURCH FOR APPROVAL OF A SPECIAL <br />PROPERTY USE PERMIT <br />Dear Mr. Driscoll: <br />This letter is to answer paragraphs 14, 15, and 16 of the Findings of Fact, <br />and paragraph 17 of the Decision. <br />Paragraph 14: Chief Al Langton,of the Fire Department,states there has been <br />no slippage or erosion in the area of the Forest Park fire station. He states <br />that since the building was built in 1947, the only problem has been that <br />the building has settled four inches due to the fact that it was built on a <br />fill consisting mainly of grass clippings and branches. He further states <br />that it is a good solid building and will continue in use for an indefinite <br />period. Chief Langton also states there has been no problem with waterline <br />breaks in that area. <br />Mr. Dan Mathias, Mr. Ken Sprecker of Public 'Aorks,and Mr. Wall'of the Water <br />Department state there have been no waterline breaks in the area of Blocks 5 <br />and 6 of Swalwells 3rd Addition which is the subject property. Mr. Wall <br />says the only break in a water main has occurred on 39th west of Federal <br />which is more than eight hundred feet north of the northern property line <br />of subject property. They also state there has been no slippage on the subject <br />property. <br />Paragrath 15: You have in your file a copy of a soils study done on subject <br />property in 1980 when a proposed condominium complex was being considered by <br />property owners. <br />Paragraph 16: Dr. Harold Fey, one of the owners of subject property, states <br />there has been no fill at any time on the property and no grading for at <br />least 10 years, and no erosion on the property. <br />
