Separate the play area, recreation room, hall, storage, and toilet <br />room from the areas above by at least 1-hour construction including <br />all columns and structural components. <br />The door assembly for Doors 172 and #3 which includes the frame and <br />hardware, shall rate 1-hour for an occupancy separation. Swing doors <br />in direction of. egress. <br />Reference Section 1703, UBC, 1970. <br />Any glass lights shall be '�, inch wired plate glass and of a size <br />as permitted by the listing. <br />Comparable doors to stair on the first floor should be 1 3/4°approved <br />doors as noted above. <br />3. We suggest you provide a 3/0 door and reverse the swing of the door <br />now noted as 7#6 between multi -social. room and corridor #114. <br />4. Provide a 2k gallon pressurized water type fire extinguisher in the <br />first floor corridors and in lower level hall to service the basement <br />axea. <br />5. Provide exit and pathway lighting which must be on at all times when <br />the building is occupied. (Type of switching only as approved by the <br />State Electrical Inspector) <br />6. Provide a manually operated electrically supervised fire alarm system <br />and an automatic smoke detector system is corri.docs and heat acuuated <br />detectors in critical areas as required by Fire Alarm Requirements <br />WAC 212-14. <br />Shop drawings of the system shall be submitted by the fire alarm con- <br />tractor of equipment supplier for review and approval prior to installation. <br />We do note your reference to such system for all buildings on Sheet- A-4. <br />We are enclosing FA Requirements, 14AC 212-14. <br />4 <br />
