The regular meeting of the Everett City CoPianrn..,, uncil was called to ork:�r at 7:00 p.. :ugust 20, 1980, in the Council Chambers of the Everett City Hall, President Overstreet presiding. Upon roll call it was found that all Councilmen were present except Councilman Aldcroft. Mayor Moore was excused. Minutes -of the meeting held August 13, 1980 were approved as printed. COMMITTEE APPOINTMENT President Overstreet said he had received a request from the Mayor to appoint two'Council members to the Consultant Selection Committee for the Southwest Everett Sewer Interceptor System. He asked any Councilmen wishing to serve•on this -committee to please let him know. - - AGENDA ADD -ON Brad Cattle, City Attorney, asked fora first reading of an ordinance to place .the 25t EMS Levy on the ballot November 4th as a special City election. Shoul. the.Council decide to do this after their workshop by having first reading at this meeting, final reading would be in time for the cut-off deadlim-for the November election. LUTHER CHILD CENTER Henry Newton, President of the Luther Child Center,'requested'the council. to waive the power of attorney for the 555 Improvement in connection with their J !, building on Federal Avenue. John Patzold of the Building Department said that he had researched this, and pr Planning Commission Minutes of February 13th concurred in the Special Property Use Permit but recommended that Item No. 4 of the conditions be deleted. This ,condition had to do with the power of attorney for the 555 Improvement. Throu ,'..an oversight, this item had not been deleted from the conditions when it was placed before the Council for their concurrence. Therefore, the Council. actin: Q 'had -been to concur in the Special Property Use Permit subject to all of the cc. :'ditions as set forth. In reviewing the Planning Commission meecingc, it was very clear that they had recommended to eliminate the necessit• for the 555 improvement. ' Moved by Councilman Pope, seconded by Councilman Michelson to concur with the Planning Commission's recommendation and waive the power of attorney for 555 Improvement for the Special Property Use Permit for Luther Child Center. Roll was called with all Councilmen voting yes.except'Council was absent. man Aldcroft who Motion Carried PEDESTRIAN CROSSING COMPLAINT Matthew O'Hare, of 18091 Rainier, complained of certain intersections as far a: pedestrian crossing problems.
