tiusurface Ecp(oraian, Geo(ogic Hazard,
A'ibitskiy Residertce und Geotedmiml Egineering Report
Everett R'ashiigtai Projecr md Sire Candirions
I. PRO.TECT AND SITE CONDITIONS
1.0 INTROiUC1'ION
"I'his report presents the results of our subsurface exploraGon, gcologic hazard, and
geotcchnical engineeriug study for the proposed Kibitskiy Residence loca[ed at 3908 Priday
Avenue in Gvcrett, Waslington (Pigure 1). The approximate location of tlie exploration
accomplislied for this study is presented on tle "Site and Exploration Plan," Figure 2. In the
event lha[ any r.hang.s in tlie nature, design, or location of the new residence are planned, the
conclusions anu recommendations contained in this report should be revicwed and modified, or
verified, as neces:;ary.
1.1 Purpose and ScoQ
The purpose of this shidy was to oUtain subsurface data to be used in the design and
development of the subject property. Our study induded reviewing available geologic ..
literature, viewing exposed soils on the property, eacavating an exploration pit, and
performing geologic studies to assess the type, thicF:ness, distribution, and physical propertics
of tle suUsurface sediments and shallow ground water conditions. Geologic hazard evaluations
and geotechnical engineering sWdies were also conducted to determine the type of suitable
foundation, allotvable foundation soil bearing pressures, anticipated setQements, retaining wall
lateral pressures, floor support recommendatinns, and drainage considerations. 7'his report
summarizes our curren fieldwork and offers hazard mitigation and geotechnical development
rccommendations.
1.2 Autlorization
Authorization to procccd vith this study as grantcd by n4r. Scrgcy [:ibitskiy. Our study was
accomplished in general accordance with our scope uf work letter dated July 3, 2007. "1'his
report has been prepared for lire exclusive use of Mr. KiUitskiy and his agems for specific
PP>ication to this projecL Within the limitations of scope, schedulc, and hudget, our services
have been performed in accordance with generally accepted geotechnical enginecring and
enginecring gcology practices in effect in this area at the time our report ws prepared. No
otler warranty, express or implicd, is made. Our observations, findings, and opinions are a
means to identify and reduce ilc inhercnt risks to the owner.
-_-- ---- --- -- --- ------------
;fS5 9,-pp7 ASSOCIATL•D FdRT!!SCIENCFS, lNC.
1_:'u -fhlr;U:l;:19-Pm,au17W,'M:t'F.b11V!' gC
