J I
. i
//BL/C N/O/KS i

,
..,. .:.
990 fr-Gio j

MEMORANDUM I

,
TO: James DriswU, Hearing Examiner
FROM: Kirk Brooks, Engineering & Public Services
DATE: Dececfiber 16, 1999
SUBJECT: Srormwater Best Management Practice (BMP)
for ongoing construction at 4724 Gardner Ave.
The following procedures are those noted during the hearing I attended on December 16'h,
1999. They are intended to provide some temporary relief for construction impacts for this
project.
• Clean up sediment sand and dirt that has been deposited on the adjacent lots
(Dickenson property). This should be done so as to restore the azea to provide the
previous use the owner had.
• Cover existing piles of dirt at the construction project with a 2" (rninimum) Iayer of
straw to help reduce erosion and sedimentation.
• Revise the location of the discharges for de-watering of the foundation area. When de-
watering, pump water to edge of Gardner avenue so that water flows south t the city
catch basin at the edge of the street. Install and maintain a filter fabric insert in the
catch basin grate to help stop sediments from entering the city's drainage system.
CITY OF EVERETT•3200 Cedar Street • Everett,WA 98201 • (425) 257-8800 • Fax(425)257-8856
