4. When tower str�ctures for above-ground utility and/or communications facilities are <br /> proposed to be located within 300 feet of residentlally zoned areas, In or withln 200 <br /> feet of gateway corcidors as designated by the Everett Comprehensive Plan, or in or <br /> within 200 feet or areas under the jurisdiction of the Shoreline Master Program, <br /> zones which otherwise require Review Process II shall use Review Process III. <br /> Findin : No tower structure is being proposed or modified. <br /> 5. All utiiity and comrnunication facilities shall be installed underground or within <br /> structures to the greatest extent practical in order tu maximize safety and minimize <br /> visual and nuise ii, �acts upon surrounding properties. <br /> Findin : The proposed use is compatible with the surroundings of the property. The antennas <br /> will be flush mounted on the existing slructure below the existing Cingular antennas and painted <br /> to match. The equipment compound is screened and landscaping has been added to the <br /> existing vegetation, which prov�des continuous screening. <br /> 6. Above ground and communications facilities shall be designed so as to be lowest <br /> height possible to adequately serve the needs of the public for the proposed utility <br /> of communication service. <br /> Findin : No height increase to the existing utility pole is proposed. <br /> 7. Towers associated with above ground utility and comrnunications factlities and all <br /> ancillary structures shall comply with the setback of the zone in which the property <br /> is located. <br /> Findin : No new tower is proposed. The equipment complies with the setbacks for the <br /> underlying zone. <br /> 8. The above ground utility or communication facility shall be removed from the site <br /> should the use for such purposes be discontinued for 120 days of more. <br /> Findin : Verizon will remove the facility if use of the site is discontinued for 120 days or more. <br /> 9. Maintenance or replacement of existing utility or communications facilities, and the <br /> installation of new utility poles, light poles o�standards, switch cabinets, pad <br /> mount transformers or other similar utility of communications facilities of a minor <br /> nature and small scale are exempt from this section. <br /> Findin : This modificalion includes the addition of three (3) antennas to an existing utility pole <br /> and is within the 20-foot limit allowed by the EMC. <br /> 10. To the extent provided by law, the City may require utility or communications <br /> service provider to allow up to two additional service providers to be located on <br /> shared facili:ies to discourage the proliferetion of tower structures, consistent <br /> with technological feasibility. The review authority may allow an additional 20 feet <br /> in tower height per additional provider to accommodate collocation. <br /> Finding: N/A <br /> 5 <br />
