Permit for 210 If 8" Sewer at NMR CraRsman District ., - -
Pwa07-o 30
Kirk Brooks
To: Kirk Alm
Cc: Alan Locke; Mark Sadler; Mark Wellman; Gerry Crum
Subject: RE: Permit for 210 If 8" Sewer at NMR Craftsman District
Kirk,
Submit as soon as possible. We will need 4 copies of each of the plan sheets. I will fonvard this on lo our inspector and
water departinent as a heads up. I will need at lease a couple of weeks to get this reviewed and ready. Maybe three.
Kirk
From: Kirk Alm [mailto:Kirk-Alm@Hoffmancorp.com]
Sent:Thursday, June 29, 2006 8:28 AM
To: Kirk Brooks
Ce: Mike See;juliec.ici@verizon.net; Gary Watters
Subjeet: Permit for 210 If 8" Sewer at NMR Craftsman District
Kirk,
As part of the shallow soil voluntary cleanup action at the Port's North Marina Site,we will be instailing a 150'section of 8"
PVC sewer and two manholes at the same time that we are cleaning up area J-3. Area J-3 is an area where it's not
possible to remove all the contaminated soils, so the plan is to mass excavate the area down 4.5'from existing, and then
cut in a trench for the 8" sewer, and then to cap the existing soil with a non-woven geotextile fabric and place the pipe and
backfill the area.
Initially, this seclion oF pipe was included in the Craftsman District Boatyard Development infrastructure drawing package
(currently in for city review), but it made sense lo move up lhe installation of this one section of pipe and have our
contaminated soiis excavation contractor install it while they are on site at this time.
What is the time frame that will be needed for obtaining a permit for this work? I've attached a copy of the drawing C1.1
and CS1.7 for your review.
The scope of work is:
1. 210 If S"PVG ,,wer Line, with 48"manholes on each end. The manholes and the new pipe would not be
connected to any existinc sever system at this time. Final connections to City of Everelt sewer system would be done as
part of the Craftsman District Boaryard Development permit.
2. Inslall 270 IF temporary above ground 6" HDPE to maintain waler service to 12" street bulkhead. Existing water line
will be disturbed as part of the Area J-3 contaminated soils removal.
Besides tlic permit application form, Ihe lwo drawings and applicable specifications, is there anything else that you would
need included as part of the permit submittal for this small scope oF work7 I would like to submit this information either
latter today or sometime tomorrow.
Thanks,
Kirk Alm
G/?9/20UG
