The applicant is proposing to restore the impacted portions of the 25- <br />foot steep slope setback and Category IV �vetland buffer impacted as a result of the gravel parking <br />arca in order to recti£y item � 7 contained �vithin the City of Everett Notice of Decision Planning, <br />Dvcctor Decision for View Ridge Community Church Front EnVance Rcmodel — SPUl1-002, <br />dated 04/4/2011. The impacted slopc setback and wetland buffer area above the stccp slopc <br />previously consisted of lawn and a few scattercd trees and shrubs near the top of bank. <br />As proposed, a 25-foot setback will be maintained from top of thc on-site sleep slope. Arcas that <br />�vere convcrted to gravel will bc restored with native trees, shrubs and lawn. Plans are to plant dic <br />1?.5 feet ncarest lo thc top of bank with a combination of native trces on 10-foot centers and shrubs <br />on 5-foot centers and resto�e the outcr 12.5 fect to lawn. Planting the area with native trecs and <br />shrubs will help to ensure slope stability and dcter people &om entering the on-ste critical areas and <br />bufCers :uid discourage .he possibility of future encroachment. <br />a.2 PLANTING NOTL'S <br />Plants should be installed in dic carly spring or late fall and �vatered as needed (iom die months of <br />June — Septcmber for the first year of planting to cnsure survival. Medium gound bark mulch will <br />bc spread to be sprcad throughout the tree and sfuvb planting azea to a depth of approximatcly 3- <br />inches prior to planting.
