For a description and evaluation of tlic on-sitc �vetland functions f�r water quality, hydrologic, and <br />habitat functions, scc thc attached wcdand rating forcns (Appcndix �3). <br />3.3 STREADI <br />3.3.1 Tvnc Nti <br />A seasonal Type Ns stream, known as Do�vood-Elm Crcek, is locatcd off-site to thc west (Sheet <br />1/l). The stream is located within a partially maint�lined and ditched channel on d�e adjoining <br />parcels ro the �vest. The stream flo�vs northerly in an approximately 2-3 foot wide channel. <br />71ie stream enters a culvert approsimately 300-feet north of il�e subjcct parcels and continucs <br />approximately 800-fect northeast within die culveR before day lighting north of 1V Mul:iltco <br />13oulevard ancl cast of Olympic Drive (SroScape). The culvert precludes any fish from accessing <br />the portion of Dogwood-Blm Cmek located wcst of lhe suUject parccls. Type Ns strcams with intact <br />native vegetation buffers receive 50-foot protective buffers. Thc stream buffer consists oi nativc <br />vegetation and a weHand plant corrununity. Thc most restrictive buffer and/or setback on thc <br />subject property is the 25-Coot sieep slope setback, which extends beyond d�e strcam or wetland <br />buffcr. <br />3A NON-N'ETLAND AREAS <br />The upland portions of the site are maintauicd la�3m, asphalt or gr���cl parking, and thc narro�� <br />[orested and shrub dominated steep slopc. <br />Typical soils underlying the non-wedand portions of the site are dark brown to lighter bro��m ( I OYR <br />3/3 — 4/3) from the surface to greater than l8 inches below the surCace. Soil is gravelly loam texturc <br />from Qic surface to ��eatcr than eightecn vicl�cs Uclow the surface. The sampicd soil within thc <br />upland areas of the site was dry at tlie time oEour site investigation. <br />"Ilic lack of wedand ficld indicators in the mapped non-wctland portions of the site indicatcs thesc <br />areas are not seasonally inundatcd an�or saturated to the surface Cor a consccutive numUer of days <br />a 12.5 pereent of the 6rowing season, thercby not fulfilling �vetland h��drology crileria. <br />3.5 WILDLIPE 013StiRVA'I'IONS <br />During our sitc invcsligations, CES obscrvcd thc following avian spccics: Amcrican robin (Trud�cs <br />nusr•atnrius), song sparrow (meloa/�izn meloriia), and luropean starling (St�o-rr�rs vidgm•is).
