These comments <br />address building issues only, addrtional revis�ons or additions may be required by other departments <br />(such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references refer to the 1997 Uniform Building Code, as <br />amended by the State of Washington and/or Washington State Energy Code 1997 Edition, uniess stated <br />otherwise. <br />In order for the processin� of your application to continue, it will be necessary to <br />provide the Building Division with two complete new sets of drawings reflecting the <br />corrections requested. <br />Please provide justifying test data (Gypsum Association, UL Report, etc.) to verify the <br />floor/ceiling assemblies as being of one-hour fire-resistive construction. <br />2. The front entry doors at the main stairway will be required to have a fire-protection rating of <br />not less than one hour. The maximum transmitted temperature end point for such doors shall <br />not exceed 450° F above ambient at the end of 30 minutes of the fire exposure specified in <br />UBC Standard 7-2. See UBC Sections 1005.3.3.5, 1006.3.3.1 and 10053.3.1. Please <br />revise. <br />The storage space beneath the main stairway is prohibited. See UBC Section 1005.3.3.6. <br />Please revise plans and front elevation. Also, please remove the apparently unintended door <br />at rtie middle of the second level on the front elevation. <br />4. The two window openings on the lower level and the left window opening on the second <br />level, all from the left building elevation, are required to be protected by fixed or self-closing <br />fire assemblies having a 3k-hour fire-protection rating. See UBC Section 1006.3.3.3. Please <br />revise. <br />5. Exits from the third floor are required to be separated per UBC Section 1004.2.4. Please <br />revise. <br />6.
