These comments address building issues only. Additional revisions or additions may be required by other departments (such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references refer to the (2006 International Building Code,) (2006 International Residential Code,) as amended by the State of Washington and/or Washington State Energy Code 2006 Edition, and adopted by the City of Everett, unless stated otherwise. In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to provide the Building Division with two new complete sets of drawings reflecting the corrections requested. 1. Provide bollard located in the normal path of a vehicle to protect appliances located in the garage. 2. Provide (2) 6" x 12" screened openings located (1) high, (1) low near the water heater for combustion air; show on plans. 3. Update R-value at the ceiling and exterior walls per 2006 Washington State Energy Code (WSEC). 4. Provide 3" x 3" x 'k" plate washers on all anchor bolts. 5. Revise cave detail 4 on Sheet A4 to be consistent with the engineering (solid blocking to be minimum 2x per conversation with your structural engineer); see Sheet S 1. 6. Insulation baffle shall extend to the outside plane of the exterior walls; 502.1.4.5 WSEC. 7. Insulation baffle shall extend to a point measured vertically 6" above batts and 12" vertically above loosefill insulation; show requirements on plans.
