I was unahle to attend tha formal public hearing earlier this month, but I would like to make my comments known. As a resident of the Eastmont neighborhood, a parent of a child attending Jefferson Elementary, a PTA memher, and spause of a daily Cammunity Transit commuter, I look forward to this addition to our community. The location and timing of this Park 'n Ride cc.uldn't be hatter. Ths easy access to I-5, the relative ease for new apartment dwellers in the Everett Mall and Silver Lake area, and the low•impact of such a development makes this ideal. I was dismayed that there was not more notice given to the community regarding the formal hearing. My hu=band was a61e to attend, but only 6ecause our school had informed ms of the meeting. As a regular i rider, my husband rvas surprised t:�ere was�'t a netice pcstad � Mariner or on any of the 411 t�uses. I searched '.ne Everett Herald and found no natice (althaugh I understand it was in there somewhere]. I understand there was quite a turnout from the Bingo/Skate association. I believe that had there been more information directly to 15 Eastmont residents, regular riders, and to the parents of the local school there wauld have been more people ar.the hearing expressing their acceptanca of this new Park 'n Ride lo� At same point, we � requested our names be added to the list to keep interested parties up-to-date at one of the original planning meetings located at the Lutheran church, But never received further information.
