Please 8nd enclosed two sketches of the modified hami�p y�ystem, <br /> The flrst sketch depicts the floor eMending into the crawl-space. R is to be framed with ac8's� 18'o.c., <br /> suppoRed by the foundation at one end and a beam at the other end. The beam nearest the side wall of <br /> the garaye should be a 3-1/8 x 9 24F-V4 plulam beam. The next beam should be a 4x10 D.F. or better. <br /> Both beams should rest on 4x4 pressure-treated wlumns which rest d(redly on concrete footinps. At the <br /> foundaUon well,a�8' footing extension is required,which should be at least 18•wide. All beams should /' <br /> be connected to the columns with Simpson LPC4's or equal. <br /> The garage floor support framing shouid have a triple joist where depicted on the second sketch. This <br /> supports the end of two beams In the floor framing above the garage level. Directly under the ends of the <br /> tAple joisl should be a 4x8 or mulliple�c4 column,full-width of the Mple Joists. The bearing wall at the <br /> back of the Goset on the garage slab should have a 4x70 beem in it,to carry the bearinp loads from the <br /> outstde wail of the garape to the tdple joist.
