Please 8nd enclosed two sketches of the modified hami�p y�ystem, The flrst sketch depicts the floor eMending into the crawl-space. R is to be framed with ac8's� 18'o.c., suppoRed by the foundation at one end and a beam at the other end. The beam nearest the side wall of the garaye should be a 3-1/8 x 9 24F-V4 plulam beam. The next beam should be a 4x10 D.F. or better. Both beams should rest on 4x4 pressure-treated wlumns which rest d(redly on concrete footinps. At the foundaUon well,a�8' footing extension is required,which should be at least 18•wide. All beams should /' be connected to the columns with Simpson LPC4's or equal. The garage floor support framing shouid have a triple joist where depicted on the second sketch. This supports the end of two beams In the floor framing above the garage level. Directly under the ends of the tAple joisl should be a 4x8 or mulliple�c4 column,full-width of the Mple Joists. The bearing wall at the back of the Goset on the garage slab should have a 4x70 beem in it,to carry the bearinp loads from the outstde wail of the garape to the tdple joist.
