All references <br /> refer to the 1997 Uniforni Building code, as amended by the State of Washinglon and/or <br /> the Washington State F.nergy Code, 1997 edition, unless noted othenvise. <br /> This review does not cover submitted mechanical, sprinkler, electrical or plumbing <br /> documents — these permits must be obtained sepazately and may require further review <br /> and submission of plans. <br /> In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to <br /> provide the Building Division with rivo complete new sets of drawings reflecting the <br /> corrections requested. <br /> The main structure at 1611 Everett Avenue is of Type III 1-Hr Construction. If an <br /> additional building (carpori) is constructed on property with an existing building, both <br /> buildings are required to meet the fire-resistive wall and opening distances as set forth in <br /> Tablc 5-A per Section 505.3. Based on the proposed carport of V-N Construction, this <br /> would require fire-resistive �valls to be constructed between the carport and existing <br /> building. FuRher, no openings (windows or doors) would be permitted within these walls <br /> — to include the existing door to the elevator room, which would have to be relocated. <br /> These requirements �vould, for all intents and purposes, render the carport useless to your + <br /> needs.
