All traffic control devices, signing, striping and other pavement delineation shall <br /> confomi to the Manual on UniComi Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD). It shall <br /> bc the de��eloper's responsibility to fumish all matcrials and labor as required to <br /> install all traffic control as required by the city traffic enginecr. All required <br /> signing (traffic control and street name signs), striping, and other delineation as <br /> rcquired, shall be sliown on thc strect improvement plans prior to plan approval. <br /> 3.09-lJNDERGROUND UTILITILS <br /> 3.09.1 General <br /> A. The WSDOT/AYWA Slandard Specifications shall apply unless othenvise <br /> slatcd below. <br /> B. When trenching through exisling pavement, thc open cut shall be a neat <br /> tine made by cither saw cutting orjack-hammering a continuous line. Saw <br /> culting will be required unless the cul is madc prior to recouslruction or an <br /> overlay. <br /> C. Temporary pavement patch shall be accomplished by using cold mix (MC <br /> 250), ATB or stccl plates. <br /> D. Permanent pavement patch shall be as specified on Standard Drawing. <br /> E. Where trench excavation equals or exceeds a deptli of =1 fcet, thc <br /> developer/conlractor shall provide, construct, maintain and remove, as <br /> rcquircd, safety systems lhat meet thc requirements of the Washington <br /> Industrial Safety and Health Act, RCW 49.17, including WAC 296-155. <br /> The trench safcty systems shail be designed by a qualified person, and <br /> meet accepted engincering requirements (sec WAC 296-155-6G0). <br /> F. Thc developer/contractor shall fumish, install, and operate all nccessary <br /> equipment to keep excavations abovc lhe foundation level free from �vater <br /> during construction, and shall dcwater and dispose of lhc waler so as not <br /> to cause injury to public or privatc property or nuisancc to thc public. <br /> Sufficient pumping cquipment in good working condition shall be <br /> available at all times for all emergencies, ircluding po�ver outage, and <br /> shall have available at all times competent workmen for the operation of <br /> the pumping equipmenL Water numped Gom lhe trench shall bc disposed <br /> oCusing bcst managcmcnt practices and shall not be pumped into streams <br /> nor to slorni drains ncar strcams. <br /> G. Compaction ,ests will be rcquired lo cnsure adequate compaclion on all <br /> IiRs.
