Fred <br />?1cGuire, Acme Acoustics, that t4r. McGuire had been in contact with both <br />Underwriter's Laboratory and the [dashington Survey and Rating Bureau as <br />to whether they require the intersection of the ceiling tees and ceiling <br />mold�ng to be pop-riveted in order to obtain a one-hour fire rated ceiling. <br />Loth agencies have advised Pir. TfcGuire that pop-riveted is not required <br />if all materials meet UL requirements. Pir. Gasfield of the i+Tashington <br />Survey and Rating Bureau is to issue a letter to PIr. McGuire that the <br />pop-riveting it not required to obtain a nne-hour rated ceiling. Upon <br />receipt of the same, we will copy your office. <br />As we have specified a one-hour ceiling to meet the �dashington Survey and <br />Rating Bureau insurance requirements, cue will not require the intersection <br />to Ue pop-riveted if Mr. Gasfield issues the above mentioned letter. Tiiis <br />does not apply to the theater ceiling grid as the one-hour ceiling is required <br />by the Uniform Building Code. <br />Very truly yours, <br />ROY E.
