He
said that it was a "mute point" and that he had already discussed stock shelving with Jeff
Bennett of McKinstry. Mr. Preston said that Everett's preference was to have it perforated but
it is not a requirement.
I then spoke with Mr. Bennett concerning his conversation with Mr. Preston. He said he and
Mr. Preston spoke at length concerning sprinklers and the stock shelving layout but did not
specifically discuss "perforated" or "non -perforated" shelving. Mr. Bennett stated that the code
1 does not address perforated shelving for heights less than 12' -0 above finished floor.
`.
... I called Mr. Preston again on 4/13/92 and was told by the receptionist he was not working on
iMonday and that I should call back on Tuesday 4/14/92.
I returned a call to Mr. Preston on 4/14/92 to reconfirm stock shelving issue. He stated that
`ter perforated stock shelving was preferred by the City of Everett but is not a code requirement.
Attached please find minutes from a February 25, meeting in which stock shelving was
discussed.
