Fish production 1n North Creek is highly dependent on continued good quality Water, Therefore, the following measures must be takcn to ensure that gasoline spills fT�om the underground tanks and storm xater quality do not adversely effeci Horth Creek; The storm drain system for the gasoline station must have a valve which can shut off all floas leaving the system in case of a fuel spill. The valve must be closed prior to any filling of the underground tanks and in the event of a fuel spill or, the site. Procedures for use of the shut off valve must be posted on the site. An oil—r+ater separator must be provided. The type of separator used r�ust be approved by the City Drainage Engineer. The owner must maintain the oil—xater separator on a regular basis following the maintenance schedule on the approved drainage plan. ' A grass lined swale with rock check dams must be provided. Arainage must be routed through the sWale prior to leaving the site and entering the grass lined detention pond to the southwest. The underground storage tanks must be double containment fiberglass tanks with an alarm leak monitoring system. A spill protector must be provided at the tank fill points. A curb must be provided along the edge nf the pavement adjacent to the Frass—lined swale to keep site drainage/fuel spills from entering the grass—lined saale instead of the detention system.
