;"

5. Item 4 from previous letter: Although the glazing in swinging doors is noted as tempered glass, per
IBC 2406.3, the area of glazing, door and opening sizes, design, and hardware set should also be
submitted. The requirement for panic hardware on this door is not optional (see designers note on sheet
A2 on the plan identified as the equipment layout), per IBC 1008.1.9.
6. The new windows being shown on the floor plan require an elevation and an architecmral detail to show
interior and exterior finishes and waterproofing. Based on the note in plan, these windows will require
safety glazing per IBC 2406.3, item 7.
7. Ceiling heights should be indicated on the reflected ceiling plan, or in section. The minimum ceiling
height fo; occupiable spaces is 7'-G" per IBC ?208.2, except as noted in that code section.
S. Item 5 from previous Ietter: Since the occupant load is over 50 in each dining area, exit signs should
identify the two means of egess &om the botli dining areas per IBC 1011.1, and two means of egress
are required from each space on either side uf the one hour fire separation wall.
9. Item 6 from the previous letter: The exit signage as submitted is incorrect, since the dining area north
of the one hour fire separation wall requires two exits directly from that space. The plans as submitted
are incorrect since the second door was omitted from the dining area east of the one hour separation
wall. All door and hardware sets should be submitted in a door schedule, indicating whether the door is
an existing door, rated doar or contains glazing, and the configuration and materials for that glazing,
where applicable.
10. In tUe previous approved permit submittal for this space, the exit corridor wcst of the dining area was
shared by another tenant. Tn the drawings submitted for permit, that comdor is ieconfigured without
allowing multi-tenant access to the exit corridor. Please confirm if this is an omission that requires a
revision. Since there are multiple tenants sharing this address, it is important for the permit record to
distinguish tliis submittal from Ute remnining tenants sharing the same address, as some other tenanPs
egress requirements may Ue affected by this tenant improvement.
11. A north arrow should be included on the drawings, per IBC Section 10G.2.
12. Item 7 from the previous letter: Emergency lighting is required outside of the egress doors accessible
tactile exit signs are required, per IBC 10113. Thcse requirements are in addition to the illuminated
exit signs required by IBC 1011.1, and they should be indicated on the plan.
13. Item 9 from the previous lettcr: If the toilet rooms are modified, those revisions will need to meet
current code. On the drawings submitted for permit, the revision to the toilet stall and lavatories as
shown will require a 5'-0" clearance outside of the door into the men's toilet stall, per ANSI Pigure
404.2.3.1.
14. Item 10 from the previous letter: a 30 inch by 48 incl rectangle of clearance without obstructions,
centered on the urinal, is required to provide an accessible urinal, unless no revisions are made"to the
men's toilet room.
15. Item 11 from thc previous Ietfer: The buffet sections should either be architecturally detailed for
profiles and construction, or provide the manufacturer's item number and a catalog sheet for review, if it
is a manufactured uniL Code rePerences are nat sufficient to illustrate the design for permit review.
1G. Item 12 from the prcvious Iettcr: ARcr field inspection today, there is only one exisfing lavatory in
tle meds toilct room, not tvo ]avatories as shown on the plans. Sec item 13 on this letter.
S N1HakylWord0060i.0.176U] SL• Esrcn Mill Way Sttmxl eortenion levc .doc
