Provide sufTicient <br />room to service all equipmeni. <br />pRAIN VALVES: <br />Manual Drain Valves: Install at beginning and ends of mains as requred to drain system. <br />Each drain shall have min. 3 c.t. drain rock sump. Install valves as per detail.Syslem will <br />be winterized by compressed air biow out through quick coupler with manual drains <br />open all winter. <br />Al irOMATIG CONTROLLER• <br />Install in aarorclance with local code and manutacturer's instrudions. <br />Connect remote coniroi valves to controller in ctockwise sequence to correspond with <br />station seltin beginning with Stations 1, 2, 3, etc. Clearly note zones on inside lid. <br />CONTROL WIRING: <br />Wiring between automatic controller and automatic control valve shall comply with <br />National Electrical Code, latest edition, and shall have a common neutral, white; and <br />separate control conductor for each valve. <br />Solices�yju[}gj�pj((gdpIllyHtjunctionboxes,valveb.4X6d,QL�tS�llt[418qtliRIDBIIt• A <br />m'fnimum of 2" of excess cronductor shall be left at all splices :terminal and control valvos <br />to facilitate inspeclion and future spticing. Encapsulate all splices with approved <br />sealants. <br />Control wfres are to be taped together at 5' intervals with electrical tape, then this bundle <br />is to be taped to the bottom ot the main (supply) line at 10' intervals with at least one tull <br />wrap of duct tape. Tie a loose 20" loop in all wmng at changes of direction greater than <br />30 degrees.Untie all loops a(ter all connections have been made. At Contractor's option, <br />the control wire may be placed to the side of the main rather than below as indicated <br />above, provided that the wire is not installed above the top of ihe main nor more than 8" <br />irom the side of the main. The bundle of control wires shall be taped together at 5'-0" <br />intervals. Sleeve all control wire which does not run with main line. <br />Run one unconnected continuous spare control wire (orangecolor) through each <br />intermediate valve box (with loop) between controller and furihest automatic control <br />valve. <br />When backiilling around valve box, make sure that spare wire splices and excess <br />conductor are exposed in valve box. <br />FLUSHING: <br />Mains: Two tuil-open flushings; one priorto placement ot valves, the second after <br />placement of valves and quick coupler and pnor to hydrostatic testing. <br />88048 IRRIGATION 02441 - 9 <br />
