Attached as an exhibit are the MPE (Maximum Power Exposura) calculations
using the above referenced formula and the antenna manufacturer vertical
pattern information using a conservative 20 d6 loss below main lobe.
The calculations show that the maximum MPE at ground level (6' above AGL) at
the base of the building and the power density is 0.003955 mW/cmz with power
levels as provided by AT&T RF Data Sheet. This is 0.7910% of the MPE limit for
the general population/uncontrolled exposure of 0.500 mW/cmz as referenced in
Table 1 OET Bulletin SS Appendix A for the lowest frequency range.
OTHER CARRIER
The following are examRles of wireless carriers providing service in Snohomish
County:
ESMR 851-866 Mhz Nextel
Cellular 869-894 Mhz
PCS > 1E00 Mhz
AT&T, Verizon
Sprint, T-Mobile, AT&T
,:.•:.
Nextel facilities will have potentially higher power levels than cellular or PCS
facilities. In order to develop a"worst case prediction", it is assumed that Nextel
facilities are on the rooftop with maximurti effective radiated power (ERP) levels
of 3,000 watts per sector verses 2,000 watts or less for cellular or PCS facilities.
Wireless facility antennas are highly directional and project the majority of the RF
energy horizontally. Attached as an exhibit are the MPE (Maximum Power
Exposure) calculations using the referenced power density formula. ihese
calculations assume that tha vertical patterns oi the antennas suppress the ERN
by 20dbB towards the antenna base. The calculations show that the maximum
total MPE at ground level (6' above AGL) at the base of the building is
0.003087mW/cm2 with the carrier operating at a total ERP of 3,G00 watts per
sector. This is 0.5444% of the MPE limit for the general population/uncontrolled
exposure of 0.567 mW/cm2 for the lowest Nextel frequency (851/1500) as
referenced in Table I OET Bulletin 65 Appendix A.
COLOCATED FACILITIES TOTAL MPE
The combined MPE for the AT&T Wireless antennas and the existing carrier
using "worst r,ase" calculations is: 0.003955 mW/cm2 + 0.003067 mW/cmz =
0.007042 mW/cm2 Total MPE.
__
( 2 = '
;.
