Berths required by this section shall be a minimum <br /> of ten feet wide. thirty feet long and have unobstructed <br /> vertical clearance of fourteen feet. Berths shall be pro- <br /> vided in such a manner so as not to obstruct free traffic <br /> movement and driver vision on public rights-of-way. <br /> Access to required berths shall be from an alley where one <br /> exists. Off-street truck loading areas shall be separated <br /> from off-street parking areas. Truck loading and unload- <br /> ' ing areas shall be surfaced with concrete or asphaltic con- <br /> crete. <br /> E. Modification of Off-street Loading Requirements. <br /> The requirements of subsections A,B and D of this section <br /> may be modified by the traffic engineer. In order to grant <br /> a modification to the requirement of subsections A, B or <br /> D, the traffic engineer shall require the applicant to pro- <br /> vide sufficient information to demonstrate that the method <br /> of providing loading/unloading for a particular use,build- <br /> ing or site will be sufficient to assure that required off- <br /> street parking areas,public right-of-way and surrounding <br /> properties are protected from unsafe conditions resulting <br /> 704-261 gge <br />
