'Lr Comprehensive Transit Service Plan <br /> EVERETT TRANSIT Executive Summary <br /> Public Involvement <br /> Everett Transit will continue to strive to provide better transportation, better <br /> management of the transportation system and optimize public expenditures through <br /> citizen, rider and business involvement in the planning, design operations and <br /> financing of transit facilities and services. <br /> Service Recommendations <br /> A number of directions for future service development have been incorporated into <br /> the project recommendations and are designed to provide a blueprint for future <br /> Everett Transit development. Not all of the recommendations can be implemented <br /> within existing funding programs. It is intended that Everett Transit pursue these <br /> recommended actions as funding to support them becomes available. <br /> Fixed Route Services <br /> Service recommendations for the fixed route network have been formulated in a <br /> number of categories, including service area, span of service, service frequency and <br /> market development. <br /> Service Area <br /> It is recommended that Everett Transit expand its traditional service area, which has <br /> been essentially confined to the City of Everett Corporate boundaries.
