We want to take
this opportunity to express our support for this project and for the requested City
Council actions.
The Providence expansion plan is directly in line with the Everett Chamber's
overall goal of promoting a prosperous economic environment and healthy quality
of life. We support the expansion plan since it addresses the hospital's ability to
provide adequate future health care services for our community. One of the
reasons that employers locate here in Everett is because of the excellent health
care providers and facilities that are offered in our community. We believe that we
must enable this tradition of health care excellence to continue into the future.
Providence has cared for the health care needs of our community for the past 100
years, and has developed an expansion plan that will allow modernization and
expansion to meet future needs. With Snohomish County expected to grow by
50% over the next 20 years, Providence must expand and modernize in order to
keep pace with this growth to meet the needs of our community. We commend
Providence for the comprehensive planning process undertaken to evaluate long-
term growth options and we support the current expansion plan.
2000 Hewitt Ave. Ste.205, Everett,Washington 98201 ■ 425.257.3222 ■ FAX:425.257.2074® www.everettchamber.com
