Everett Public Library Outreach Services <br /> Staff: Theresa Gemmer, Outreach Librarian; Gloria Holgren, Beverly <br /> Maddox (24 hours weekly), Kathy Harrower (6 hours weekly) <br /> ♦ Home Library Service: Gloria <br /> Deliveries in their homes to people who are unable to use the library <br /> buildings due to physical or mental limitations. Currently serving about 75 <br /> people once a month. <br /> ♦ Assisted Living, Nursing Care Homes, Adult Family Homes: Gloria <br /> Materials are individually selected to meet residents' requests and for <br /> programming needs of activity directors. The library materials are checked <br /> out to the agency or to responsible individuals in the facility. Monthly service <br /> to 16 facilities. <br /> ♦ Senior Apartments / Mobile Home Parks: Bev and Gloria <br /> Bookcarts loaded with a variety of library materials, mostly large print <br /> books, are taken to the sites using the outreach van. Individuals borrow <br /> materials on their own library cards. Personal requests for titles or subjects <br /> of interest are filled. Bi-monthly service to nine residential complexes and <br /> the Everett Senior Center. <br /> • Daycare / Preschools: Theresa <br /> Bookmobile visits centers providing a storytime for the children <br /> followed by a visit to the bookmobile. Children and caregivers choose <br /> individual books. Activity kits and other library materials to support <br /> curriculum are brought to the centers. Currently serve 62 preschool groups <br /> with storytimes monthly for about 1,000 preschoolers and their caregivers. <br /> ♦ Neighborhood Stops: Theresa and Gloria <br /> Bookmobile parks at designated stops. Items are checked out to <br /> individuals and requests for specific materials are filled. We currently serve <br /> sites with predominantly recent immigrant populations <br />
