Commissioner
Trautman seconded the motion.
Vote: Commissioner Ryan abstained from the vote and all other present Commissioners were
in Favor.
Motion Carried.
Item #1: Public hearing and decision on the recommendation for the Six Year
Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP)
Brian Jones, City Engineering Services Manager, stated that State Law requires cities and
counties adopt an updated six year TIP. The plan shows all the projects that the City may
spend capital dollars on for design, right of way acquisition, or construction within the next six
years. The annual revision is important because it renders the projects eligible for any state or
federal funding and also allows the opportunity each year to adjust the City's transportation plan
according to the City's needs. Only some of the projects will actually be fully or partially
implemented due in part to a lack of complete funding. Since most of the plan remains
unchanged from last years plan, he reviewed all the new projects.
New Projects:
-4- Pacific Avenue/BNSF Grade Crossing Improvements which is map 16
4- Rucker Avenue/W.
