The 30% plans shall be sent to all utilities in the project area, including City of Everett <br /> utilities, PUD Power, Puget Sound (gas), Verizon and Comcast. It is assumed that there will <br /> be one (1) coordination meetings with the affected utilities. <br /> The Consultant shall contract with a subsurface utility engineering (SUE) company to <br /> pothole up to five utility locations as required to determine their horizontal and vertical <br /> location. <br /> The SUE company shall perform the following work: <br /> • One-Call notification to utility companies. Schedule / coordinate with utility <br /> companies for stand-by, as required. <br /> • Mobilization to the project site. <br /> • Horizontal marking of utilities within the project limits prior to beginning test hole <br /> excavation. <br /> • Vertical locating / potholing of utilities at up to five locations, to be determined by <br /> INCA. <br /> • Summary of test hole data, in tabular form. <br /> • Test Hole Data Sheets, containing all data gathered by field crew during test hole <br /> excavation. <br /> • Necessary traffic control equipment, including the following: <br /> o Advance warning signs <br /> o Cones/barrels, as required by City of Everett <br /> It is assumed that Traffic Control Plans will not be submitted for approval and that <br /> significant traffic control (beyond simple signage & cones barrels around work area) is <br /> not required. <br /> The CONSULTANT shall evaluate the potential impacts and work with COE and the utility <br /> provider to develop potential solutions. <br /> The following are subtasks for this work: <br /> 3.1 Utility Contacts and Issue Log: The Consultant shall develop and maintain Utilities <br /> Contact and Issue Log <br /> 3.2 Utility Coordination and Meetings: The Consultant shall Support the COE to coordinate <br /> with utilities to verify locations, determine relocation requirements or facilitating avoidance <br /> issues. Conduct one (1)coordination meeting with the utilities. Meeting summary and <br /> listings of any action items, with action responsibilities, will be prepared by the Consultant <br /> and provided within five (5) days of a meeting. COE will review and provide comment <br /> within three (3) days. The Consultant will incorporate the review comments and distribute <br /> the final document within two (2) days of receipt of COE's comments. <br /> 3.3 Utility Potholing: The Consultant shall identify utility pothole locations and coordinate <br /> potholing and surveying <br /> 30%SCOPE OF SERVICES, PAGE 12 OF 16 31 <br /> North Everett Transit Station <br /> July 29,2005 <br />
