TASK 4—SURVEY (OPTIONAL SERVICES) Standards, Guidelines, and Criteria • Washington State Plane Coordinate System • AutoCAD Release 2000 Deliverables • Revised Basemap The Consultant shall provide supplemental surveying to support the 30%design as an optional service. Upon written direction by the City,the Consultant shall perform the additional tasks listed. Additional services include up to three survey crew days and adequate office time to provide field survey for test pit and utility pothole locations, and additional spot survey required for the development of the 30% design plans. The Consultant shall revise the existing base map to include the additional survey data. It is assumed exhibits and descriptions will not be required. TASK 5—GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING Deliverables • Draft Geotechnical Report(1 draft hardcopy) • Final Geotechnical Report(1 final hardcopy) The Consultant shall provide soil quality investigation for the redesign of Old Broadway street so that the new pavement supports buses and to assess the property of four existing houses that will be demolished as part of the project. The assessment includes both the soil engineering characteristics and the presence of petroleum from probable onsite USTs. The following will be completed as part of the geotechnical engineering work: • Conduct ten (10) test pits in the area of the proposed new pavement, retaining walls and near the probable UST locations. • Perform limited soil characterization tests of the samples (ie: grain size and moisture content) • Test select samples for the presences of hydrocarbons • Analyze the soil data and provide geotechnical foundation support and pavement recommendations and general construction requirements. • Evaluate if the soil complies with the MTCA standards 3 9 • Prepare a summary report. 30%SCOPE OF SERVICES, PAGE 13 OF 16 North Everett Transit Station July 29,2005
