7 <br /> Utility relocation design hours are included in Tasks 7, 8, 9 and 10. <br /> TASK 4—SURVEY (OPTIONAL SERVICES) <br /> Standards, Guidelines, and Criteria <br /> • Washington State Plane Coordinate System <br /> • AutoCAD Release 2000 <br /> Deliverables <br /> • Revised Basemap <br /> The Consultant shall provide supplemental surveying to support the 30%design as an <br /> optional service. Upon written direction by the City,the Consultant shall perform the <br /> additional tasks listed. Additional services include up to three survey crew days and <br /> adequate office time to provide field survey for test pit and utility pothole locations, and <br /> additional spot survey required for the development of the 30% design plans. The Consultant <br /> shall revise the existing base map to include the additional survey data. <br /> It is assumed exhibits and descriptions will not be required. <br /> TASK 5—GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING <br /> Deliverables <br /> • Draft Geotechnical Report(1 draft hardcopy) <br /> • Final Geotechnical Report(1 final hardcopy) <br /> The Consultant shall provide soil quality investigation for the redesign of Old Broadway <br /> street so that the new pavement supports buses and to assess the property of four existing <br /> houses that will be demolished as part of the project. The assessment includes both the soil <br /> engineering characteristics and the presence of petroleum from probable onsite USTs. <br /> The following will be completed as part of the geotechnical engineering work: <br /> • Conduct ten (10) test pits in the area of the proposed new pavement, retaining walls <br /> and near the probable UST locations. <br /> • Perform limited soil characterization tests of the samples (ie: grain size and moisture <br /> content) <br /> • Test select samples for the presences of hydrocarbons <br /> • Analyze the soil data and provide geotechnical foundation support and pavement <br /> recommendations and general construction requirements. <br /> • Evaluate if the soil complies with the MTCA standards <br /> 3 9 • Prepare a summary report. <br /> 30%SCOPE OF SERVICES, PAGE 13 OF 16 <br /> North Everett Transit Station <br /> July 29,2005 <br />
