i #(.•%/Z:A1 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 5277 <br /> A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the City of Everett setting a public hearing before <br /> City Council on January 22, 2003 at 8:30 a.m. to consider proposed 2003 activities, budget <br /> and assessment for the Downtown Everett Business Improvement Area (BIA) and to provide <br /> that notice of the hearing and budget be sent to property owners in the BIA. <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett is in receipt of the Downtown Everett Association's <br /> proposed budget for calendar year 2003 for the Downtown Everett Business Improvement Area <br /> (BIA); and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to set a time for public hearing thereon. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> EVERETT <br /> Section 1: That the City Council shall hold a hearing on the 22nd day of January, 2003, at <br /> 8:30 a.m., in the Everett City Council Chambers,to consider the proposed 2003 activities, budget <br /> and assessment, attached and hereby made a part of this resolution as Attachments A and B. <br /> Section 2: The City Clerk shall provide for publishing this resolution as may be provided by <br /> law, and further, that a notice of the hearing and a copy of this resolution shall be mailed to the <br /> owners or reputed owners of real property and buildings located within the proposed BIA area <br /> whose names appear as the owners of such property on the records of the City Treasurer, or if no <br /> address appears there, on the tax rolls of the Snohomish County Assessor, and at the addresses <br /> for such owners as shown on such tax rolls, such mailing to be made prior to the hearing as may <br /> be required by law. <br /> Section 3: The City of Everett would levy a special annual assessment at the rates set forth in <br /> Attachments A and B, for the purpose of operating a security and pedestrian environment <br /> maintenance program in 2003. <br /> Section 4: This resolution does not constitute adoption or approval of the proposed 2003 BIA <br /> Budget, and the City Council, after the public hearing on January 22, 2003 (or at conclusion of <br /> any continuance thereof)may approve an annual BIA budget different from the proposed 2003 <br /> annual BIA budget attached and made a part oft '- esolution. <br /> a <br /> , I � <br /> li , <br /> Councilperson Introducing Resolution <br /> PASSED and APPROVED this 11`h day of <br /> December, 2002. - <br /> / <br /> Council President <br />
